After more than 25 years as an international corporate investigator, Interfor has helped thousands of clients restore the integrity of their operations following incidents of fraud or other corporate misconduct. Our experience has shown that many of our clients, had they properly considered security precautions, would have been spared the financial losses and reputation problems resulting from corporate malfeasance. This is particularly true for our clients who do business overseas or in highly competitive markets.
Protecting our clients from harm, whether physical or financial, is of the utmost importance to Interfor. To keep our clients’ assets, personnel, intellectual property and trade secrets safe and to prevent those affected by corporate fraud from being victimized again, Interfor offers a full range of physical security and threat management consulting services.
The Comprehensive Physical Security Vulnerability Assessment
The primary objective of the Physical Security Vulnerability Assessment is to observe and analyze areas of potential and/or actual vulnerability, to define causes, and to recommend means to reduce or eliminate exposure. In conducting the assessment, Interfor utilizes a specialized process known as The Interfor Method. The Interfor Method ensures that the assessment will be catered to the client’s individual and specific needs and allows for the most comprehensive analysis available on the market.
The assessment includes a review of: access control systems and procedures; ingress/egress procedures, intrusion detection systems; application of electronic control systems; employee and visitor identification procedures; IT procedures; employee/vendor background investigations; and, general personnel policies and procedures.

The Interfor Difference
While vulnerability assessments have been around for years, Interfor has perfected a methodology that balances real-world needs with realistic recommendations. Through years of working with a wide range of businesses and organizations, we have learned that technological countermeasures and systems are only as strong as the policies, procedures and training that have been implemented to mitigate threats. Therefore, The Interfor Method evaluates and tests the human factors that most security systems and programs are built upon. In addition, we fortify our recommendations with scheduled post-testing and evaluations in order to ensure that our recommendations and warnings have been successfully implemented.
Understanding the particular needs of each company is a key component of Interfor’s assessments. We examine how security systems, procedures and policies are integrated into each client’s individual corporate culture, and also consider how security is perceived by that culture. At Interfor, we firmly believe that for a security program to be successful it must be implemented in a way that clearly benefits the particular corporate environment.
To ensure that our services are cost-effective, Interfor conducts assessments in a two phase system. After the initial Phase I analysis of security measures currently in place, Interfor works closely with management to decide when and how to proceed to the Phase II implementation of recommended security enhancements.
Interfor’s years of experience investigating corporate wrongdoing has provided us with firsthand knowledge of the means by which corporate threats often arise and are carried out. Our investigative experts work closely with our security team to design procedures that address the methods used by white-collar criminals to breach security systems. Maintaining a global network of security experts and investigative resources allows Interfor to address the constantly shifting requirements of threat and vulnerability mitigation.

Security Certification Program
Interfor Inc. has launched a new physical security certification program for private sector clients to evaluate and test their physical security systems, procedures and protocols.
Interfor created the program to provide private organizations with an objective, third-party review of their security programs that it could possibly lower an organization’s insurance costs.
The service includes an assessment of existing physical security systems, protocols and procedures inside and out including: Human Resources practices, ID programs, executive protection, exterior protection and others.
After completing its assessment, if there are any recommendations, Interfor will require that the client implement those recommendations within six months in order to receive the certification that will boost their security and point out any flaws in policies.
Interfor will then make an unannounced visit around six months later to verify that the client did improve its policy regarding the handling and removal of proprietary data.
Once a company is certified it receives the Interfor Inc. logo that it can display on their web site as proof of the certification.
Intefor will conduct yearly assessments of the company for recertification.
In addition to improving their physical security and policies, clients could also boost their business by demonstrating to their prospective clients that they take security very seriously, which could be the difference between landing an account or losing business.
